 "It's Too Late" by Carole King

This week i chose to write about Carole King, and her song "It is Too Late."  Carole King is a female singer and songwriter, she was born in 1942, and started her music career in the 60s. She is famous for stapeling the idea that songwriters should preform their own  stuff. At this time it was still normal that songwriters sold their song to other artists, instead of writing and singing their own songs.  In 1971 did she release the single "It's Too late." The song became super famous and it was #1 for 5 weeks, the song has also been the #1 record 15 times, in 6 years. I really liked the song, Carole King has a really nice voice, and the background music is very harmonic. The 70s is often referred to as the me decade,  we have two main groups in music, its music for teens and music for the boomers. Nostalgia is also really important in the music industry, the 60s music died with The Beatels, Jimi Hendrix and etc. We also get a lot of new sub genres, to target more and different types of people. This allowed artists to make the type of music they wanted to, instead of record companies pushing them into making "radio friendly" music.
