 Blogg 5 - La Bamba by Ritchie Valens.

For this weeks Blog I picked "La Bamba" by Ritchie Valens, the song was released in 1958, and it soon became a hit in the US. The song is considered one of the early rock and rolls best known songs. When Ritchie wrote this song, he was very inspired by a Mexican folk song. he took the song and transformed it into a rock n roll song. He is considered the creator of the chicano rock movement.  Ritchie Valens music career was very short, he died when he was 17 in a plane accident, only eight months after he released "La Bamba."I have heard this song many times before, I do not know where, but probably from movies and TV shows. I liked the song, it is a fun song and it makes me in a good mood. It has a very quick tempo to it, and he uses a guitar to play the song.  He also sings in Spanish, this fits the song really good. He mixes the Spanish singing with the rock n roll, this makes the song very different from all other rock music at that time. And it makes the song more special than other songs.
